I always knew I wanted a tattoo on my upper thigh, I just didn't know what of. After seeing a tattoo done by Orly from Humble Beginnings on his then girlfriend (now wife) Meesh, I became totally inspired. She had a tat of a lotus flower and some flowing water on her upper thigh, reaching towards her butt. But I couldn't think of anything beautiful and meaningful that would fit that part of my body so I forgot about it for a while.

Then, one day I was having a convo with my girl Mik where she said, "Girl. You are worth more than a million stars ..." And that's where I got the idea for this tattoo, which was done by my main artist Henry from Skull and Sword (although at the time he was still at Everlasting). All I said was I wanted stars, and I wanted it here. He traced my ass (lol) said he'd take care of the rest, I came back a few weeks later, hated him for a few hours, and then ended up with this:

You unfortunately can't see it in too much detail in this flic but up close the shading is beautiful. It's a simple design of stars but I love the fluidity of it. I originally wanted the location slightly tweaked but he told me it would look funky in certain angles and assured me this was the best spot. OF COURSE he was right. It's one of my fave pieces and is a constant reminder of my self-worth. I shine, you shine, shine.

I got the inspiration for this picture from Mariah Carey's fragrance add below, told Art the concept and he made it happen. It's my favorite shoot to this day. You'd never believe this was done at night, in his backyard, in a kiddy blow up pool shaped like a Killer Whale with a black blanket tossed over it lol. Oh, and fyi I was wearing underwear lol.
